Before transitioning to a program manager role, I gained extensive experience in the maritime industry as a chief officer, third/second officer, and  HSSEQ advisor. I worked for various shipping companies and maritime academies, where I was responsible for vessel maintenance, ballast, and lifting operations, onboard training, helicopter landing, fast rescue boat handling, navigation, and safety management. I also co-authored a web-based training project for maritime officers and served as a deputy editor of a research journal on shipping and navigation.
